Wikimedia commons The basics of India's Independence are known to all: Jawaharlal Nehru, as leader of the Congress, signed the declaration of Independence just after midnight on Aug. 15, 1947, and delivered the famous "Tryst with Destiny" speech — which can be read  here  — to declare that India was no longer governed by the British.  Now, here are some lesser-known facts about India's struggle that led to the country's freedom, and the Independence Day in particular: India became independent through the Indian Independence Act 1947 of the United Kingdom Parliament. The act received consent from the British monarchy in July 1947, and India received independence on Aug. 15, 1947. However, the act also resulted in the partition of India, which created East and West Pakistan.  East Pakistan would subsequently go on to achieve Independence from Pakistan and become Bangladesh in 1971. When Kickass torrents and  Torrentz.eu  were banned within a span of two weeks, people from all across the globe were sad. It was like we lost a friend we had known for years. We didn't know what do with our unlimited data plans and fast internet connections at our offices.  Hope never dies. It returns in a new form. Apparently, Torrentz is back but in a different avatar. The meta-data search engine has made a comeback in the form of  torrentz2.eu   Here's the fully functional  link  to the website. We were browsing the internet and we stumbled upon this new website. We even tried searching for torrents and it's largely back online.

Torrentz.eu search engine shuts down mysteriously after KickassTorrents

After the shutdown of KickassTorrents a few days back post the seizure of its admin, Torrentz.eu has shut down. The largest search engine is bidding farewell to its billions of daily users. At the time of writing this, the website is down. When you open the website, you can type in the Search bar but as soon as you hit the search button, you will see a message “Torrentz will always love you. Farewell.” This is a big blow to millions of people who use to browse movies, music, and other stuff from the search engine. Along with the  shutdown of Torrentz  search engine, other domains related to it have also seized operation. This includes main .EU domain and its backups .ME, .CH, and .IN, as per Softpedia. Meanwhile, it is not known as to why the website has been taken down, but it seems like the admin of  Torrentz search engine has  decided to do so to avoid getting into any legal situation. A  tweet  posted by Evan Blass suggests that Google could release Android 7.0 this month. It might be bundled with the August security patch, suggesting it could only be a matter of days before the update makes its way to you.  Another tidbit Blass mentioned was that the Nexus 5 will not receive the Nougat update.
